As a distributor for a skin care line, I experienced the frustrations of using conventional methods for keeping my washcloths warm and ready to be used by guests at my demonstrations. I first tried using the crock pot. I found it unappealing. After all I wasn’t marketing food! Although I always used a crock pot that had never cooked food I always wondered if my guests were distracted by that thought. I knew I would be if I were them. With the crock pot, I disliked having to circle the demonstration table and tong out a washcloth to each guest every time one was needed. Circling the table to dispense the washcloths interrupted the flow of my presentation and it was more difficult to gather my guest’s attention for the next phase. They had always begun chatting as I ran in circles and I had to wait or interrupt to keep the demonstration moving along. In addition, it was difficult to get the temperature just right because the washcloths on the bottom were always hotter than those on top. Next I tried the water bowl method but found that lacking as well. Unless I wanted to interrupt my presentation and run back and forth to the sink for fresh water for each guest myself I needed an assistant – which was not always available to me. Even with an assistant, I found my guests were distracted by the constant motion to and from the sink, the running water noise and the mess created by dripping washcloths at their station. Not to mention the occasional total bowl spill! Yikes! Even if no catastrophes ensued, I had to pause numerous times to allow for these distractions before proceeding with the presentation. This added a lot of time to my presentation and I found guests tired out before I was done. I needed a solution that would allow me to do demonstrations by myself, keep down the mess and avoid the distractions. So, to solve this problem in a way that was simple and efficient, I sat down and designed the InsulCube™. Now, using the InsulCube™ I am able to conduct demonstrations by myself, don’t have to run laps around the table dispensing washcloths or back and forth to the sink for fresh water. I can conduct my presentation in a shorter amount of time, maintaining the focus of my guests with no extra effort. And, guests always comment on how impressed they are with the InsulCube™.
